After graduating of Boston University with a degree in acting, she started her career as a theatre actress, before moving onto television and film. Every single performance she did was well-received. The actress has been awarded numerous prizes for her powerful acting, such as Emmy Awards, Golden Globes and an Oscar for her performance in the "Best Actress" category. Her "Best Actress" prizes at the film festivals in Cannes, Venice and Berlin were highly deserved. Her novels, with a character named 'frackleface Strawberry are written specifically for kids.
