Awkwafina

Awkwafina has been described as an American actor and performer who started her career through innovative raps which addressed sexuality and racial identities with the most comical of perspectives. Then she branched out into Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese as well as Korean parents who hail from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was the first instrument she played for her. She also received the classical and jazz education later becoming a hip-hop teenager. While at school, she majored in journalism and women's studies, and was taking classes in Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. She turned her attention towards music after she graduated. The song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity through the Internet in the year 2012. It eventually made it in the album debut Yellow Ranger released in 2014. The album featured other hit songs that went viral, such as the body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$. The last track was linked directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide released in the year 2015. She opted to pursue acting careers after having completed her two previous ventures as a musician and author. Alongside early shows such as Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors as well as Storks. In the year 2018 she got several notable parts, including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP In Fina We Trust.
